Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 08:54PM Today some good friends and I took a few of our kids to Wheeler Farm to do a photo walk for a little practice. Wheeler Farm is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to take pictures. There are so many varieties of back grounds and the light is pretty all day long.

Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 09:00AM If these pictures don't make you want to go to Lake Powell, I don't know what will! I took over 650 pictures over our 7 day stay and here are 57 of them. As I began each collage I would say "okay this is the last one" then as I would select the pictures it was so hard to choose my favorites! So I just kept going, and could definitely make several more. We had such an awesome time on our "Le Tour De Powell" vacation when we look at the pictures we just want to go back and spend another week there!
Friday, August 14, 2009 at 02:30PM We started bright and early this morning at Wheeler Farm for these fun family pictures! What a great family to photograph! They were so calm and cooperative (maybe they weren't quite awake yet). I have so many adorable pictures it was hard to narrow it down to these few to share today. The oldest son David is leaving on his mission to Denmark next month, so I think my favorite picture of the entire session is the last one on this post! It brought tears to my eyes, and it's not even my son leaving!

Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 10:22PM We just returned home from a week long vacation in Lake Powell. I have over 650 pictures to sort through, but when I came to this one I realized it fits right in with Carin's photo challenge for August. Her challenge has to do with Bokeh.
"Bokeh: (derived from Japeanese, a noun boke, meaning blurred or fuzzy) is a photographic term referring to the apperance of out-of-focus area in and image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field."
The Bokeh in this picture is in the foreground and I love how it looks! The awesome rider is my new sister-in-law Jacque! I have more fun pictures of her and the rest of the fam that I'm excited to share so come back soon!
